I have been selling under Carolinabluelady since 2007 with a 100% feedback score. I thoroughly enjoy meeting and talking with other collectors. I love vintage carnival glass and Early American pressed glass and find the histories of these glass makers fascinating. I try to research every piece of glass or pottery that I find and will usually add some facts of interest in my listings - hopefully you will find this fun and interesting, too.
Most of the items I currently sell are from my mother's estate. She collected anything that caught her fancy. She loved going to auctions - there was always something that she found and just had to have. Most of these items are still in the boxes that she brought home. She always said we would have fun going through her "pretties" and she was right.
Another love is contemporary North Carolina pottery from the Seagrove, NC area. There are over 100 potters in this area and many of the family businesses go back over 200 years. It is quite an interesting history. I am currently selling new pieces from 4 potteries - O'Quinn Pottery, Fat Beagle Pottery, Piney Woods Pottery and Cagle Road pottery. There are some beautiful pieces.
Besides the St. Clair art glass from my mother's and grandmother's collection, I will also be selling new Joe Rice art glass. Joe Rice is the nephew of Joe and Bob St. Clair and currently operates the House of Glass in Elwood, Indiana - the same factory that his Uncle Bob operated.
I try my very best to describe the item accurately. If you feel that I have mis-classified using the wrong manufacturer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
